Denver Tech Center (DTC)
The Denver Tech Center (DTC) area is the area near the central corridor of I25, generally bordered on the north by I225 and on the south by C470/E470. Designed in the 1970’s as an economic and business district for the Denver south metro area, the DTC has continued to grow, offering business offices, shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues.
Communities near the DTC area are popular due to the convenient location near the I25 corridor and also due to the strong Cherry Creek and Littleton school districts serving this area. Living in this area provides easy access to the DTC, downtown Denver, Park Meadows Mall, Cherry Creek Mall, Southglenn Mall, Cherry Creek Reservoir. As with most Denver areas, the DTC area also has great access to community parks & trails including Denver's Highline Canal trail.
The proximity of the RDT southeast light rail, providing an easy work commute to downtown Denver or to Denver events is an added plus for this area. RTD Light Rail Map
Although there is new construction in the DTC area communities, the majority of the homes in this area were built prior to 1990. Homes in the DTC area sell at a higher price than those farther east or west of the I25 corridor as people are willing to pay more for the more central location. Cities in this area include Denver, Englewood (unincorporated Arapahoe County), Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, and Centennial.
